I know what that feels like because I have lived it.

I spent years working inside a family ecommerce business. Not as a consultant watching from the outside. As someone loading stock, packing orders, serving customers in store, managing inventory, building systems and processes, running the marketing, managing the ad budget, and leading a team. I have done every job in that business. I know the chaos of a busy dispatch day, the stress of a promotion that underperformed, and the frustration of spending money on marketing and not being able to tell what worked.

Before that, I grew up in a family of business owners. My father ran a pharmacy. My grandfather ran an automotive engineering business. I was in both from the age of five, screwing bottle tops on in the dispensary, licking stamps, and envelopes in the garage, answering phones, later delivering prescriptions and building their first websites. (selling millions of dollars of nicotine gum to the usa) / I grew up watching what it actually takes to run a business. It shaped everything about how I think.

I have been building businesses and marketing websites since 2002. I have been coaching business owners for over 10 years. I have worked in agencies & seen them reporting on clicks and traffic while business owners would ask me in our 1 on 1s about sales and growth. I have run campaigns for brands you would recognise. And I have spent the last decade helping businesses just like yours figure out what is actually holding them back, and fix it.

Here is what I have learned: most marketing does not fail because of effort. It fails because of order. Businesses jump into ads or SEO or content before the fundamentals are in place. They spend money on traffic before the website converts. They run campaigns before they know their numbers. They do all the things — and none of it compounds.

You do not need more tactics. You need a clear system, built in the right order, around your actual business.

I do recall at some point telling my parents I wanted to be an astronaut, who RUDELY pointed out they don’t have those in New Zealand. These days if I was to start again I would do something with A

Travelling, planning my next adventure, next on my bucket list is thailand, vietnam, turkey, argentina, japan. I love a good sauna and cold plunge. When I am in Christchurch I love hiking in the port hills or anywhere with a good view, listening to bands in dive bars. I often work remotly while I travel with my partner for work (he travels alot).
