New with Google Ads Third Party Reviews and Endorsements
A pretty cool little google adwords review extension has been in beta testing since June and is currently being rolled out to all AdWords accounts. I see this extension as being instrumental in building credibility and reducing risk to potential customers.

Tell me more….
Basically, it’s called “Google Adwords Third Party Reviews” and will allow advertisers to link to appealing quotes and endorsements from trusted and reputable publications in their ad words advertisements. Giving your advertisements social proof.
What will they look like?
Above you can see an example of the extension in action. (what the customer will see)
Below the interface, you use to add the source of the social endorsement. AdWords view)

When can I get my hands on them for my business?
As of mid October 2013 they are being rolled out to all English accounts. To access them login to your google adwords account over the next few days.
Things you need to know about this extension:
- You can paraphrase or use a direct quote
- All adds need to approval so it can take a few days before they show.
- You can only run one endorsement per campaign.
- Focus on the business as a whole rather then particular products or services.
- They can show in conjunction with other extensions you have enabled.
How should I utilise extensions in my Adwords account?
Add one endorsement blurb per campaign.
You can submit more but only one will get approved and run for your account.
HOMEWORK: Site down and write a list. Has any important source given you a Stirling review?
Bloggers, newspapers, websites, travel sites, trip advisor?
Write a list of possible endorsement and select the best on for each of your campaigns.
Types of endorsements that might be useful for different types of businesses:
- Restaurants – reviews from food bloggers, the local newspaper, travel review sites.
- Accommodation – trip advisor, lonely planet travel guides, local papers and celebrity blogs.
- Plumbers, Electricians, Mechanics, Builders – Reviews from directory sites like no cowboys.
- Computer geeks (like us) – Mentions in the Auckland Tribute, google case studies, the press, on national radio
